I have always loved driving along this stretch of road seeing the orchards, starting to blossom. It means i am nearly home.
Though it makes my heart sad to know that the orchards and the dairy industry that was the back bone of my little community when i was a kid, are getting smaller and smaller.
That my home town in a sense is dying.
We have come home not only to see family, but to get things organised for our up coming wedding.
While i could not live here again, i am nostalgic when ever i come. Lots of good and some not so good memories come to me as we enter the town. I suppose this is what everyone experience’s when been away from where they grew up, a part of them that is their history, a part present and a part future.
I am happy to be home, happy to spend time with my family. Happy to have my memories.
Happy weekend everyone. Xxx
