I come from an iddy biddy family.
There are my three parents, myself, my two sisters, my four brothers, my two brother in laws, my four sister in laws, my daughter, her partner and my two grandsons, my three niece’s and my ten nephew’s. The tenth nephew being born just today. One of my sisters is pregnant and expecting in November. Another nephew or niece to love.
One of my brothers and sister in law’s haven’t even started yet. Phew so many, but so much love. More the merrier i think.
Growing up as the eldest, i have sometimes ( more when my sister was born) not with the rest. Was not a fan of my sister when she was first born, because then i wasn’t an only child. I love my sister dearly now, she should have been the first born. She is the good one, the sensible one, where i was the rebel without a cause the one my parents probably worred about the most.
I have redeemed myself in my older age though. We don’t talk to each other everyday or even once a month, but when we are together we are a family. We are all as ugly as each other, we make fun of each other, we wrestle, we play fight. We are each others greatest supporters.
Growing up within a large family gives you strength, it gives you unconditional love.
Today as i worked on my wedding invites i realise that most of them are for family.
Hubby to be comes from a family that is only really tiny compaired to mine. Just his four children, a daughter in law and son in law, four grand children, his dad and his brother and sister in law.
Life is what you make it.
Tomorrow isn’t really simple, as i have a lot of work to do, but i will make it simple by,
1. Grateful for having a job to go to.
2. Get a Pilates class in
3. Take a breath.
