Day 288 Days of Recovery from Procrastination

Sometimes we do need to dig deeper into others to find out really what is going on. But at the same time we have to let them show us what they need, because we are not mind readers.

I work in a complex environment where its different everyday. Some days are good other days are f’ing crazy. Those crazy days can do my head in trying to figure out the needs of my clients. Then try to figure out what is going on with me. So that we can all work together, but then somedays its just going to be crazy regardless of what you do.

Life is a lot like that, nothing really seems normal anymore. Not like it was before the craziness of the 9/11 have i felt that we live in an environment where we could have decent joke and there was no real political politeness. Now a days everyone seems so guarded and not interested in having fun, to worried that they may offend someone. I am sure there is still a lot of people out there socialising, maybe my life is different now, but i feel the worry more than the carefree attitude.

In my procrastination i have allowed myself to become comfortable in staying home, its easier, but then my rebel without a cause side still wants to go out mingle and have fun. Maybe i am just getting older too.

(This makes me sound old) when i was younger everyone went out, my mother always had friends over, we had friends in the street, we knew our neighbors, but it all seems to have slowed down. Even stopped. When i go home to my home town, it seems like a ghost town, no kids out showing off their hotted up cars to all the girls who are hanging around. Doing laps around the local park on a friday or Saturday night.

There doesn’t seem to be any innocent left in the world, seeing as we are exposed to everything we could ever want with the internet. It sort of feels like the world is like a pack of sheep, bumping and jolting along the same road, listening to the farmer and going where he says. We are are losing our individually. Our identity!

Its the weekend, a work weekend for me, not to many tasks for me. I love weekends and seeing what happens.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Xxxx
